Where Can I Serve?

Mission Outreach

As Jesus told us by his words, and showed us through his actions, we are to offer hope to the world. We are called to encourage, assist, and love others. At Jollivue, we support missionaries both locally and globally.  As part of the United Methodist Church, we minister throughout the world providing mosquito nets for malaria prevention, fresh drinking water, and education. We also work to is right here in our local community! Our church supports one of Staunton’s Elementary Schools – Bessie Weller Elementary.
Each year we donate school supplies for the students and staff, and we provide clothing for those that are less fortunate.

We have a Holy Spirit filled choir, under the direction of Donna Elkins. The choir enjoys singing traditional and contemporary music. Solos and duets are enjoyed by the congregation. We sing to the Lord to show our thanks for all He has done for us.

The 99ers is a small group of Christians who are dedicated to renovate our church and our community. We have a mission to Reach Just One, to share the love of Jesus with the world one person at a time. As a group, they read and study the Bible together so that they can be led by God’s word. They envision a world where each person can seek the one who was lost, as in the parable of the lost sheep. The shepherd left the 99 sheep to seek the one sheep that was lost. If each person can “reach just one”, and that person would do the same, the message of salvation can be spread to all. Click on the link below to read the story in the Bible.

Welcome Team

Our greeters enjoy speaking with everyone. They  help collect the offering and lead others to the communion table.

Prayer Chain

We believe that prayer is vitally important. We use intercessory prayers in our worship services
and via a prayer chain, utilizing text, email, and phone calls.
